Paul and Annette took on the role of Leaders of Lighthouse in 2000.
Paul is apart of the state executive for Australian Christian Churches in NSW and is the national leader for Community Engagement in Australia. Paul has written a book, Thank God It’s Monday, which is about living everyday with purpose.
His’s other roles include being the President of Cedars Christian College – a school of over 900 students – as well as the Chaplain to our NBL basketball team, the Illawarra Hawks.
Paul and Annette are both personal development coaches to leaders and professionals in the broader community specialising in the area of leadership and vision development, team building and organisational change.
They have been married for over 25 years and have three children Jordan, Caleb and Sophie.
Josh is the General Manager of Lighthouse. He is responsible for overseeing the operational side of Lighthouse as a Community Organisation and church. Josh has a background in PE teaching but transitioned to Lighthouse in 2013. Since then, Josh has been an integral part of the team and has a great passion and drive to see the vision of Paul and Annette outworked in the day to day life of Lighthouse. Josh and his wife Taleah are also the Location Pastors of The Station.
Grant is the community engagement leader for Lighthouse which involves creativity and innovation regarding local churches connecting to their communities. Grant has a social science undergraduate degree from the University of Wollongong, a post graduate certificate in International Urban and Environmental Management from RMIT, and is currently studying a Master of Arts (Theology) from AC College Sydney. Grant and his wife Jess are also the Location Pastors of Lighthouse North.
Deb has a passion for people of all ages and for seeing lives changed, healed and to move forward in Gods plan and purpose for their lives. Deb serves as a Pastor here at Lighthouse and oversees the area of Pastoral Care which includes: Marriage and pre-marriage, courses and training as well as Chaplaincy and Professional Supervision. Deborah is an Associate Member of the Australasian Association of Supervision and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Supervision ; Deb sees Chaplaincy as a bridge into the Community and is the Illawarra Regional Leader for Chaplaincy Australia
Josh and Taleah, along with their three kids Harper, Aurora and Oakie oversee and pastor Lighthouse's main site, The Station. Josh has a background in PE teaching and Taleah is a qualified speech therapist. They are passionate about creating an environment that is inclusive and relevant, where people feel like they belong and can be an active part of the Lighthouse family and the broader community.
Levi and Katie are the Location Pastors of The Woolshed, Lighthouse's southern most location. They have two children, Ayla and Judah. During the week, Levi is an electrical engineer at BHP. Katie has a background in health and nutrition. They are part of a unique space that integrates church and community. They are passionate about being and doing wht their community love and building a space that is inclusive and relevant to the community they are a part of.
Grant and Jess, along with their 2 children Arie and Valerie are the location pastors for Lighthouse North, based out of Austinmer in the Northern Illawarra. Grant has a bakground in Social Science and Environmental Management and is currently studying Master of Arts (Theology). Jess's is a qualified English/History high school teacher. Grant and Jess love surfing, music, writing and creating meaningful community. They are passionate about innovative thinking and re-creating traditional church experiences.
Jordan Bartlett is our Youth Pastor over each location at Lighthouse. Specialising in leadership development with younger people, Jordan is a Diploma accredited Youth worker.
Jordan is one of the most passionate youth worker’s you’ll meet, he wholeheartedly loves the youth of his community and work’s hard to create a youth movement that sees young people come alive in their God given identity. When he isn’t with the youth, you’ll find him expressing his creativity through music, photography and film directing. We think we have the best youth pastor this community has ever seen!
Elyse Flaherty is the Children’s Director over Lighthouse' three locations. She lives in Stanwell Tops along with her husband Andy and two children Micaiah and Audrey.
She loves being outdoors, being active and spending time with family and friends.
Elyse is a trained Primary School teacher and has worked with children in a variety of schools and community projects in Australia and overseas. Elyse is passionate about children and families and creating networks of value and support around these communities.
Manager of Lighthouse Youth Initiative (LYI), an accommodation and trauma informed care (TIC) program for young adults at risk of homelessness. Having worked in Community Services for over 20 years, with a BA in Psychology and Management (UOW), a Masters in Theology (SCD), and most recently studies in TIC and Practice (Workplace Wellbeing Institute). Lindy is passionate about creating spaces where individuals can feel safe, loved and accepted. LYI gives her the opportunity, with the support of an incredible team, to come alongside courageous, unique and resilient young adults and witness miraculous transformations. Lindy lives locally with her husband of 17 years - Justin and their two boys and enjoys binge watching T.V. series and doing puzzles in her down time.
Mark is our Operations Manager and oversees and leads all the internal aspects of Lighthouse including, governance, finance, revenue, budgets, our venues, and Human Resources. With his Degree in Management, and qualifications in Organisational Wellbeing and Emotional Intelligence, Mark has an extensive career spanning 15 years working with a range of large global and leading not for profit organizations in HR Management, Workforce Development, Operational Management and Coaching.
Glen is wonderful part of our team here at Lighthouse. She is our Bookkeeper and manages our accounts across our different programs. She expertly handles numbers and finances with great precision and high organisation. Her years of experience are invaluable to Lighthouse. She loves her grandchildren and dotes upon them regularly.
Emily works with Pastor Paul Bartlett as the ACC Community Engagement Project Coordinator. She assists in developing strategy and vision for churches doing community-related projects and programs. Emily facilities training, hosts webinars and coaching to walk alongside pastors and leaders in their journey.
Carol is a chaplain through Lighthouse at Cedars Christian College. There, she provides pastoral care for the Cedar’s community, particularly the students. Through her chaplaincy she equips and challenges the students ensuring they outwork what they learn practically. On top of this, she also leads and organises Lighthouse Community Kitchen on Thursday evenings which is a pop-up restaurant which is open to the community.
Renee is a highly organised individual and supports Paul and Annette in all that they do; robustly helping them to make tangible the vision they see for Lighthouse and it’s community.
Sheridan is our receptionist here at Lighthouse Station. She is the person who answers when you give us a call or an email. It is through her Lighthouse can answer inquiries, take registrations and connect people to various parts of our community.
