Lighthouse at the Station is the central site of Lighthouse. It is a diverse community of people, located in the heart of Wollongong right next to the train station. The Station operates as a community centre on weekdays and holds church gatherings on Sundays. The site is a bustling place of activity with many of our Lighthouse team working from the Station in our office spaces throughout the week. We are open to the community and provide access to free tea and coffee, a mothers group, chaplains and a pastoral care team. The café right next door, Station Square Brewers, is a great place to catch up and grab a coffee or a bite to eat.
The Station is a place for everyone of all cultures, backgrounds, ages and stages of life. We want everyone to feel like they belong and have a strong sense of connection and community at The Station. There are many ways you can get connected and join our Station family. For more information please get in contact with us below or fill out the Welcome form Here.
Station Connects: Connect groups typically run fortnightly across the city. They are a great way to connect with people around the same age and stage of life.
Station Youth: Lighthouse Youth at The Station runs every Friday night during the school term for young people in years 6-12.
Station Mums Social: A group of mums with young children who love to connect and hang out together weekly.
Lighthouse Community Kitchen: A weekly pop-up restaurant that serves a 2 course meal for people in the community.
In person: You can visit The Station during the week or come to one of our gatherings on a Sunday at 10 am or 5 pm (time will revert to 6 pm at the end of winter). Visit the welcome desk and our friendly receptionist will be able to point you in the right direction. We’d love to meet you!
